Physiotherapy has created a niche for itself as a leading healthcare profession that improves health without the use of medicine and surgery. It provides treatment to the individuals to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement, allowing them to function efficiently through life.

A pass in 12th standard or equivalent examination approved by Nitte (Deemed to be University) with not less than 40% marks as an aggregate in the optional subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with English being one of the languages of study. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
Candidates with BSc (PT) or BPT degree from a recognized university, securing not less than 50% of marks as an aggregate. Admission will be based on marks secured at the qualifying examination.
BPT course has a balanced combination of subjects relating to Physiotherapy and rehabilitation, also including a substantial component of medical subjects. Hence, students will acquire skills that will give them the professional competence to treat a range of physical impairments which could be congenital, post-operative or those occur due to a major trauma.
I Year: Human Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Psychology and Sociology and Biomechanics of Human Motion.
II Year: Pharmacology, Pathology and Microbiology, Exercise Therapy, Electro-Therapy, Research Methodology and Biostatistics.
III Year: Clinical Orthopaedics, General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics & Sports Physiotherapy, Cardio-respiratory & General Physiotherapy.
IV Year: Neurology & Neurosurgery, Community Medicine, Physiotherapy in Neurology & Neuro surgery, Community Based Rehabilitation and Project work.
