Frontier Lecture on Academic Writing

The Publication Cell of Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy conducted a Frontier Lecture on "Academic Writing" on 30th September 2021 at the Institute premises.

The event began with an introduction by Dr Saumya Srivastava, Associate Professor, NIPT. The opening remarks and welcome address were delivered by Prof (Dr) Dhanesh Kumar K U, Principal, NIPT, where he emphasized the importance of writing a technical or scientific paper.

The Speaker for the day was Dr Purusotham Chippala, Professor, NIPT, who spoke at length on the process of Academic Writing, and the various software that assists in writing a research paper.

Guest lecture for teaching faculty on 'Technical Difficulties in Teaching Learning'

Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy organized a guest lecture for teaching faculty on 'Technical Difficulties in Teaching Learning' in association with Padmashree Institute of Physiotherapy, Bangalore on 1st September 2021.

Dr Saumya Srivastava, IQAC coordinator, welcomed the resource person Dr Pravin Aaron, Principal, Padmashree Institute of Physiotherapy. The session comprised of tips on making attractive PowerPoint presentations, explanations on how and when to have remote access on desktop, and dealing with technical glitches on Google Meet and Zoom.

World Environment Day

World Environment Day was celebrated at Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy (NIPT) on 5th June 2021 at the Institute premises.

The theme for 2021 being 'Restoration of Ecosystem - Reimagine. Recreate. Restore', events such as installation of the Pot Compost Unit and Bird Feeder Units were held.

Workshop on 'Advanced critical care physiotherapy management and pulmonary rehabilitation'

Dr. Tarpan Shah, Principal, Swaminarayan Physiotherapy College, Surat, and alumnus of Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy (NIPT) conducted a Workshop on Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy on 10th March 2021. The Workshop touched upon multi-disciplinary therapeutic interventions including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, rehabilitation of patients in intensive care, assisted chest mobility techniques, artificial airways, neuromuscular facilitation in chest physiotherapy, and many others.
